This is not how you calculated and will not do it in the future either, everything that happens around it, generations after us will decide whether we did it right ... go out again after Corona and visit all leisure centers, because they need it there are also people who want to survive through their work .....

Really a very nice atmosphere up on the mountain. The food is always phenomenally delicious. The waiters are very friendly and helpful. For wheelchair users they have a ramp that they lay out to overcome a small step. There are 2 tables where you can sit well with a large wheelchair. The hygiene concept was correctly adhered to. The waiters wore masks consistently and correctly, the tables were far enough apart and the room was aired. A great recommendation!

A fantastic restaurant and hotel !! Incredibly friendly welcome and service in the restaurant. Spending the night in a wine barrel is also an experience that you won't find anywhere else in the region. If I could then I would give it 10 stars! We would like to come again!!

We are basically real fans of the Taufsteinhütte. But today we weren't satisfied. The service not as competent and friendly as we are used to. Unfortunately, the quality of the steaks was not good either and the food should have been much warmer.

Very good food (mega burger, meat loaf, Thai curry), large portions and nice service. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the wine barrel for one night and am totally impressed. Very clean and cozy. Breakfast the next morning in the Taufsteinhütte was awesome and definitely worth the 12 euros. I will be happy to come back again.

We had a wonderful evening here. The ambience is rustic and stylish. The food is prepared with skill and served with a lot of love. The service is very friendly, attentive and with a lot of humor. We would love to come back.

Very good food (the eye can also eat) Even if the price seems a bit high, we talk about the quality; and the portions are more than adequate. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly. We (four of us) were very satisfied and well saturated.

Nice location and delicious food, but due to the service we can only give 3 stars. We were assigned the table with the words "that is your table back there", after which we did not see any service staff for 45 minutes. We only discovered by chance that the menu is on the back of the "placemat" at the next table and fortunately we were able to choose the food until someone finally came. Otherwise everything would have taken even longer. We were never asked for drinks in between, we had to call the staff ourselves twice. We also had to beckon the staff to order the dessert, otherwise we would probably be waiting there now. For dessert we had ordered mousse au chocolat with sorbet, mousse au chocolat with crème brûlée and a kind of cream berry dessert in a glass were served. We didn't get any information about this (that the sorbet is over or something like that), it was simply put there. The service was therefore very disappointing in all areas, especially since all other guests around us were served much faster and more friendly. Even if the Taufsteinhütte is very nice and the food was good, we would choose a different restaurant next time due to the inattentive service and the somewhat higher prices.

Nice meant 2 1/2 stars We arrived and the first thing we noticed was that our reservation was incorrectly recorded on the phone. Fortunately there was enough space so that we could sit outside anyway. The next thing that caught my eye immediately afterwards was the operating personnel. One person was extremely unfriendly and with the other person we had to take over the work. What stood out was the delicious food. Really everything fresh and delicious. However, a minus point here as well. Because my vegetables were only lukewarm at most. Same problem with a colleague. For the price, I actually expect something different. It is questionable whether I will visit this restaurant again. Maybe when some time has passed.

Very nice location, we slept in a wooden barrel. Everything is arranged very lovingly. The restaurant is also very cozy. The food was very good, there is also something for vegetarians and vegans. We would love to come back !!

Very tasty and good food, the service could be a little more attentive. The key system for overnight guests in the barrels or the sanitary barrels should urgently be reconsidered. A guest was accidentally locked in for about 20 minutes. Can't understand how you can install something like that without thinking, so only three stars. Otherwise nice facilities, lovingly and nicely done.

The ambience is very nicely located and the staff friendly ... Our milk coffee was hot, but the coffee aroma was missing. I have rarely had such a bad milk coffee. The pear chocolate cake was not a highlight, the cheese cream cake was okay .. Our criticism was ignored with a polite smile ...

We went to the Taufsteinhütte to eat in the evening in July 2020. The view, provided you have a table outside, is wonderful. Hygiene measures were set up in the entrance area of ​​the restaurant and every guest was able to take a form with them to the table for the mandatory entry of personal data (name, address & telephone number) for registration. However, the completed forms were not collected again by the staff or the data was otherwise requested. The tables also had no table numbering that was visible to the guests, which could have been entered in the registration for the purpose of assignment, as is now common in other restaurants. Since it was quite full, it took a while for the waitress to take orders. The printed menu showed 19% VAT for both food and drinks in July. The Wiener Schnitzel offered on the menu was only a Wiener Schnitzel when asked. Both points have been corrected in the current menu, which can be downloaded from the website. I don't know whether this also applies to the printed menu in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the starters and main courses were only moderately lukewarm instead of hot, which was a shame. It also took a long time before the food was served. Everything was okay in terms of taste and the drinks were delicious. The price-performance ratio could be better in my opinion. I noticed that the gross prices for all items on the billing slip, which at that time were still shown with 19% VAT on the food and drink menu, were then correctly shown as 5% or 16%, but both gross prices were identical. This means that the VAT reduction was not passed on to the guest and is currently not passed on if you compare the prices on the receipt with those on the menu currently published on the Internet. It is, of course, at the discretion of the restaurant operator whether and to what extent the VAT difference for food and drinks is passed on to the guests or not. I am aware of the enormous economic challenges currently facing the catering industry, but I would have liked it if at least a small part of the VAT reduction had been passed on to the guest. In the sanitary area, I would have been happy about paper towels and disinfectants, both of which were not available. The last check was here a few hours ago.

Food was very good, unfortunately the selection on the menu was a bit limited. It was annoying that the people who were sitting at our table before just didn't want to leave and we had to wait half an hour.

Excellent food in a rustic atmosphere, fireplace in the house, beautiful terrace and a wine barrel village where you can also sleep. Great experience.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing ... you sat outside, but we had imagined the selection of the menu under a consistently warm kitchen and not just soup, salad, schnitzel / meat loaf with french fries. Then we only drank a non-alcoholic wheat beer at the expensive price of 4.20 euros and went to eat elsewhere, where we were welcomed much more friendly.

Wonderful ambience with very courteous, attentive staff. Very cozy barrels to spend the night. Exceptionally excellent food and not to forget the great location. A dream place

Tolle Location

A very "fantasy" style of a vacation. Who doesn't want to sleep in a barrel?! Probably a more popular destination during the summer months however.. walking outside in -15° weather to piss in the middle of the night is not my cup of tea. Romantic and fun nonetheless. Of vacationing in the winter Take advantage of all the glüwein you can find!!!
